How often do you brush your teeth per a day? If you say that you brush at least once a day and you think that it is enough, you know that you are not doing enough to take care of your oral health. Do you visit your dentist often? If you choose not to, you must be prepared to face all the risks that come with not having a dental professional look at your smile, risks which include going through all the trouble caused by unwanted tooth problems — tooth problems which are actually preventable most of the time.

Most of the bad habits that people have are habits which started when they were younger. Despite the repeated reminder that one should always brush their teeth before going to sleep, a lot of people still seem to forget. Young kids are given sugary drinks before going to bed without brushing their teeth. This routine can actually be the cause of the development of dental problems in most people. If parents continue with this bad habit, their children will take such bad habits into adulthood.

There are many bad oral habits which are common, and which many of us may be guilty of doing. The best oral health care practice includes brushing your teeth at least twice a day (morning and before bedtime), flossing once a day or more, and rinsing your mouth out with antibacterial mouthwash.
